This weekend saw over 40 of our dedicated members and their families brave the wind and rain for a group challenge to cycle as many laps of Cumbrae as possible all in aid of the local appeal Holly’s Journey. The appeal is for a young girl aged 6 who has undergone life changing surgery in America to help in her quest to gain a more independent life and walk with or without aides.
Holly herself, who is trained at MP Health for her extended rehabilitation, was in attendance for the lunchtime break and she brought a smile to all the weary cyclists faces!
Our youngest cyclist was aged 7 (and our oldest undisclosed) as a team we managed an unbelievable 200+ laps! We can’t thank our members enough for their support and we were delighted to see so many people pull together under the weather conditions and give up their time for the cause. Another example of the positive and supportive community we have here at MP!
